Air Serbia set for record charter season

NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia will operate a record number of summer charters this year, with a total of 970 planned so far. The figure represents growth of 9.1% on last year and a 30% increase on 2017. The airline will run leisure flights from Belgrade to Greece, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Tunisia and Egypt. The carrier will also maintain summer charters from Banja Luka this year to Turkey and Greece. The total number of services may increase further as tour operators continue to book additional charter flights to cater to the travel requirements of holidaymakers in Serbia. Last year, the Serbian carrier handled over 100.000 passengers on charter services alone. Its leisure flights are operated by its dedicated charter brand Aviolet with a fleet of three 144-seat Boeing 737-300 aircraft. As of last year, it also utilises one of Air Serbia's mainline Airbus A319 aircraft during the high season.
