Summer 2019 - Montenegro Airlines
Montenegro Airlines will be making changes to its summer network, which begins next Sunday, with the carrier to put a greater focus on its operations from Tivat for a second consecutive year. From its main base in Podgorica, the airline will add an extra weekly flight to Copenhagen and Paris, which will now be served three and four times per week respectively. Furthermore, it will bring forward the resumption of its flights to Lyon by a week. All other services will remain unchanged. In addition to its scheduled flights, Montenegro Airlines will be operating a number of charters from Podgorica.
From Tivat, Montenegro Airlines will boost operations across its network and introduce a new two weekly seasonal service to Hannover from May 2. Furthermore, frequencies on one of its busiest routes, to Belgrade, will be increased to 23 times per week, while an additional weekly rotation will run to Leipzig and Munich, both of which were introduced as new destinations last year. Flights to the two German cities will resume at the start of the summer season, whereas last year they were launched in May. Similarly, flights to Moscow will be increased for a second year running and will now operate eighteen times per week. In addition, seasonal services to St Petersburg will resume in late April instead of early June as was the case in 2018. On the other hand, the airline will not be resuming its seasonal flights from Tivat to Copenhagen and will remove one weekly flight from its London Gatwick schedule, with the service resumption being brought forward by a week compared to last year.
Montenegro Airlines is expected to wet-lease an additional aircraft over the summer, however, it is yet to publish any equipment modifications. Please note that the changes listed below are preliminary and based on current availability in the Global Distribution System (GDS). Furthermore, the table below displays the peak weekly frequency on each route during the course of the summer season. Increases in frequencies, particularly on flights from Tivat to Belgrade and Moscow, do not come into effect until later on in the summer. The summer season runs until October 26.
