TRIP REPORT: Croatia Airlines, Dubrovnik - Zagreb
TRIP REPORT | INDEX
I went to the airport by car which took me some 30 minutes down a beautiful road that runs along the coast. Dubrovnik Airport's terminal is modern and new. I did not have any luggage so I went to the automated self check-in machines to complete the formalities. The machines are used by several other airlines as well.
All the gates are located on the upper floor, as well as immigration and security. Despite the long lines, things moved quickly. Once I cleared security I headed towards the gates which are exclusively used for domestic flights.
The airport is not too big but it is bright and offers great views of the tarmac. There is also a duty free shop and a cafe in the departures area.
I had a coffee and soon after the gate was opened. However, once you pass the first boarding check you find yourself in the gate lounge, which filled up very quickly.
Our aircraft arrived, an Airbus A319 registered 9A-CTI featuring the Star Alliance livery.
The seat pitch on board is relatively good and better than the A320 I had on the way back. The crew was busy in the small business class section by handing out welcome drinks and newspapers. Shortly after, the screens folded out to play the safety demonstration. We then took off for a fifty minute flight, as announced by the captain.
Since it is a short flight, the crew quickly started service, which comprised of a single cup of water for everyone. Meanwhile, the screens were playing some tourist video, although there is no sound.
Descent was announced shortly and soon enough we were on the ground in Zagreb. We disembarked the plane quickly with the cabin crew giving us all a smile. Overall, a pleasant and short flight.
