Sarajevo Airport registers strong growth

Sarajevo Airport recorded its busiest August by handling 178.943 passengers, representing an increase of 12.2% on last year. The number of aircraft movements grew 7.8% to 1.710. During the January - August period, Sarajevo welcomed 817.606 travellers through its doors, up 9.2%. It added an extra 68.578 so far in 2019. The airport has seen a number of foreign carriers introduce new routes this summer, while FlyBosnia established scheduled flights to the Middle East.
