Belgrade Airport continues record run

Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport handled over 645.000 passengers in September, representing an increase of 11.6% on the same period in 2018. According to operator VINCI, the airport handled over 4.750.000 travellers during the first three quarters, up 7.4%. In a statement detailing its third quarter results, the company said, “Belgrade Airport, which became part of the VINCI Airports network at the end of 2018, recorded 9.3% growth in the third quarter, driven by the opening of new routes by Air Serbia, Air France, ASL and Wizz Air”. The airport is estimated to handle some 6.2 million passengers by year’s end.
