Sarajevo Airport to acquire new air bridges

Sarajevo Airport will purchase three new air bridges for its passenger terminal. Two will replace the existing ones, while the third will be used on the new expanded part of the terminal building, which is due to be completed by autumn 2020. The total value of the three bridges is estimated at 2.7 million euros. Tender procedures for the purchase of the new equipment has begun and runs until January 6, 2020. The winner will have just under a year to install the new air bridges once an agreement is signed. Sarajevo Airport is in the midst of a major expansion project. In addition to adding 10.000 square metres to its passenger terminal, it is also building a new VIP terminal, administrative building and expanding its main apron. The airport also plans to renovate its runway and taxiways, while the Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency will overhaul Sarajevo Airport’s control tower.
