Finnair delays Helsinki - Split resumption
NEWS FLASH
Finnish flag carrier Finnair will push back the resumption its seasonal Helsinki - Split flights as a result of the coronavirus Covid-19 outbreak. The service, which was scheduled to commence on March 29, has now been delayed until April 30. “Due to the impacts of the coronavirus situation, Finnair has already cancelled approximately 1.400 flights from its network and is now further adjusting its operations to meet the decreased demand”, the company said. It added, “Finnair is decreasing the seat capacity of its European traffic in April by over 20%, by cancelling altogether approximately 2.400 flights and by switching to smaller aircraft on certain routes, based on the demand outlook”. At this point, the airline’s other destinations on the Croatian coast, as well as its services to Ljubljana, remain unaffected.
