Norwegian Air Shuttle to restore select EX-YU flights

Norwegian Air Shuttle has announced the resumption of some short haul European flights following several months of minimal operations caused by the coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic and a dire financial state. The low cost airline will reinstate services from Oslo’s main airport, Gardermoen, to Belgrade on July 4. Services will initially run only once per week, each Saturday. The development comes just a day after Wizz Air announced it would commence services from the Serbian capital to Sandefjord, near Oslo, in mid-July. Flights to Split will be reinstated on July 8 and will be maintained twice per week. Services from the Norwegian capital to Dubrovnik will resume on July 28 and run four times per week. Operations to Pristina are slated to return on August 1, once per week.
Since April, Norwegian has only operated eight aircraft on domestic routes in Norway. Now another twelve aircraft will re-join the fleet and be put into operation across Scandinavia to serve popular core destinations. From July Norwegian will operate 76 routes across Europe from the airline’s Scandinavian hubs compared to the thirteen domestic Norway only flights served today.
