Qatar Airways to boost Belgrade flights

NEWS FLASH

Qatar Airways has confirmed it will be adding an additional seven weekly flights between Doha and Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport over the next two months after the carrier resumed three weekly operations between the two cities yesterday following a four-month hiatus. In a statement, the carrier said it would serve the Serbian capital three times per week until July 27, after which flights will operate four times per week. From September 1, services will be ramped up to ten flights per week until the end of the 2020 summer season in late October. This will include a daily morning departure from Doha and an additional three weekly late afternoon departures from the Qatari capital, each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. As a result, the airline will outstrip in 2019 frequencies on the route from September. Qatar Airways’ CEO, Akbar Al Baker, said, “We are delighted to be back in Belgrade. During this crisis more passengers have chosen to fly with Qatar Airways than any other airline, and we appreciate the trust they have placed in us. We have become the largest global carrier flying over fifty million kilometres to repatriate over 1.8 million passengers on over 15.000 flights. This has enabled us to accumulate unrivalled experience of how to safely and reliably carry passengers during these uncertain times”.
