FlyBosnia wet-leases A320 jet

NEWS FLASH

FlyBosnia has wet-leased an Airbus A320 aircraft from Lithuanian carrier GetJet Airlines, which is being utilised for regular charter flights between Sarajevo and Antalya. The jet, which is seventeen years old and registered LY-OWL, has been operating on behalf of FlyBosnia since Monday. Previously, throughout July, FlyBosnia wet-leased an A319 jet from the same carrier. That aircraft has now been returned to Vilnius. FlyBosnia’s own jet, an A319 registered E7-FBA, which has been operating repatriation and cargo flights throughout the coronavirus pandemic, is currently stored in Sarajevo. FlyBosnia is unable to resume scheduled operations, with the majority of the markets it serves in the Gulf still closed for international travellers. The carrier plans to restore services to Saudi Arabia this summer, however, Saudi Arabia’s aviation authority recently said there is still no specific date for the resumption of international flights.
