Air Serbia further boosts Zurich flights
NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia is further increasing its operations between Belgrade and Zurich with the airline to maintain 21 weekly services in October, outstripping pre-pandemic frequencies. The carrier will run four daily flights between the two cities over the weekends, while there will be three rotations to Switzerland’s largest city on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, and two flights per day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. All are operated by Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft. “Interest in flights to Zurich has exceeded all our expectations, which is very encouraging, having in mind current circumstances and the consequences of coronavirus on air traffic on a global level. We will continue to carefully monitor developments, react quickly, and adapt to changes in demand and travel restrictions”, Jiri Marek, Air Serbia’s General Manager for Commercial and Strategy, said.
Air Serbia’s competitor on the route, Swiss International Air Lines, has also increased frequencies between the two cities to twelve weekly and has filed a split schedule over the coming winter season, which will see some of its flights spend the night in Belgrade prior to an early morning departure to Zurich.
