Sarajevo Airport to host runway race

Sarajevo Airport will play host to a night-time runway race next year. The Runway Night Run will take place after midnight and will involve a five-kilometre marathon down Sarajevo Airport’s runway. “We are delighted to be the hosts of such a unique sporting event and join numerous other airports around the world in its organisation. Keeping in mind that the logistics of the marathon are quite complex, we are happy to take this opportunity to promote the airport but also Sarajevo as a city and Bosnia and Herzegovina as a country”, Sarajevo Airport said. The exact date of the race is yet to be specified.
