Luxair touches down in Tivat
Luxair has inaugurated the second of three new routes to the former Yugoslavia this summer by launching seasonal services between Luxembourg and Tivat. Operations will be maintained once per week, each Saturday. The inaugural service had 47 passengers on board the Dash 8 turboprop aircraft. The main initiator of the new flights is the Cultural Informative Center of Montenegro in Luxembourg. The organisation's President, Fetija Kalač, said, “Luxair is the national carrier of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, officially the world’s richest country. I am proud that our work and efforts have resulted in the introduction of these flights which brings our country closer to this important market. This service is also significant for countries neighbouring the Grand Duchy where we have a notable diaspora”. Luxair’s Marketing Director, Vincenzo Manzella, noted, “After researching the market we saw potential in Montenegro. We are certain that this route will develop. The initial results are encouraging. This service will be profitable on a long-term basis and we are certain that, thanks to our strong cooperation with Montenegrin invitations, especially the Cultural Informative Center of Montenegro in Luxembourg, our efforts to promote this route will pay off”. Luxair launched flights to Podgorica last month and will inaugurate services to Belgrade in June.
