Wizz Air Abu Dhabi touches down in Belgrade

NEWS FLASH

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has inaugurated flights between the capitals of the United Arab Emirates and Serbia this weekend, reconnecting the two cities with a nonstop air service for the first time in seven months. The low cost carrier will maintain operations with its Airbus A321neo aircraft. Serbia and the United Arab Emirates have signed a quarantine free travel agreement for vaccinated passengers. The quarantine-free travel corridor, which came into effect on May 15, no longer requires nationals and residents of either country to quarantine upon arrival, while abiding by other precautionary measures. Based on the new rule, citizens and expatriate residents, who want to benefit from the quarantine-free travel corridor, need to show evidence confirming they have received the last shot of the Covid-19 vaccine, according to the approved applications or certificates issued by their health authorities. The UAE recognises Serbia's new digital green certificate, which shows evidence of  Covid-19 vaccination and testing.
