British Airways restores Ljubljana operations

NEWS FLASH

British Airways resumed its seasonal service between London Heathrow and Ljubljana last week, marking its return to the Slovenian capital after almost two years. The airline will maintain four weekly rotations between the two cities, each Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, until October 29, with the Airbus A320 aircraft. The Head of Airline Management at airport operator Fraport Slovenija, Janez Krašnja, said, “We are happy that one of the most popular routes among Slovenian passengers is returning to Ljubljana. We welcome stronger travel and business ties between Slovenia and Great Britain”. Slovenia is on the United Kingdom’s Green List, meaning British nationals are not required to quarantine upon their return back home from Slovenia. Low cost carrier easyJet is expected to restore flights between London Gatwick and Ljubljana on September 8. By the end of October, a total of fifteen routes are to be maintained out of Ljubljana.
