ITA to launch Split, shelves Dubrovnik plans
NEWS FLASH
Italy’s national carrier ITA Airways will commence operations between Rome and Split next month, marking the continuation of the seasonal service previously maintained by its predecessor Alitalia. However, despite plans to serve Dubrovnik over the summer as well, the route will not be going ahead. Instead, the Italian carrier will codeshare on Croatia Airlines’ service between the two cities (as flight AZ7022/23). ITA will maintain operations between the Italian capital and Split once per week, each Thursday, from August 4 until August 25 with its Airbus A320 aircraft.
