Zadar Airport handles millionth passengers

NEWS FLASH

Zadar Airport has welcomed its millionth passenger of the year today, for the first time in its history, after it added a further 184.926 travellers in September. The millionth traveller arrived on a Ryanair flight which was greeted with a water cannon salute. The airport previously registered its busiest September on record, outperforming the same month during the pre-pandemic 2019 by 58.7%. During the first three quarters of the year, Zadar Airport handled a record 990.046 passengers through its doors. As a result, it has become the fourth airport in Croatia to process over one million passengers annually. Zadar Airport’s strong recovery from Covid-19 has been fuelled by Ryanair, which launched its seasonal summer base in the city with three aircraft and introduced a number of new routes.
