AnadoluJet pushes back new Belgrade service

NEWS FLASH

AnadoluJet has delayed the launch of its new two weekly service between Izmir and Belgrade. Scheduled a month ago, the flights were to launch on February 16. However, the carrier, which is a virtual lower cost brand of Turkish Airlines, has now pushed back the route’s start date to April 13, to coincide with Air Serbia’s first flight on the route on April 15. The two airlines are codeshare partners and working towards a Joint Venture agreement. Last week, the Serbian carrier said Izmir was one of its best-selling new routes slated to launch this summer, with a number of flights already sold out during the upcoming summer months. Information on AnadoluJet’s modified Izmir - Belgrade schedule can be found here.
