Air Serbia boosts Tel Aviv service ahead of launch

NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia will add another weekly flight for a total of four between Belgrade and Tel Aviv this summer. The service will commence next Thursday. The fourth weekly rotation will be added from May 8, on Mondays. "This represents our return to the Middle East. We initially announced three weekly flights - on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays - however, due to excellent results through market research, we decided to add a fourth flight too", Air Serbia's CEO, Jiri Marek, said. Air Serbia will restore operations to Israel's largest city following a three-year hiatus. "I am overjoyed that nonstop flights between our two countries will resume again. Passengers will be able to go from Belgrade to Tel Aviv and vice versa in under three hours", Israel's Ambassador to Serbia, Yahel Vilan, said. He added, "The first Air Serbia flight to Tel Aviv will take off on one of the most important Jewish holidays of Pesach, that is celebrated as a spring holiday and is a sign of a new beginning, new achievements and connections between Serbs and Jews, Serbia and Israel". Air Serbia will compete against Arkia Israeli Airlines on the route, which maintains two weekly flights between the two cities.
