Croatia Airlines has been granted ten additional slots at London’s Heathrow Airport for the upcoming 2023/24 winter season. It is important to note that these are not weekly slot pairs, but rather ten additional slots for the entire duration of the winter season, which begins on October 29 and runs until March 30 of next year. The Croatian carrier is likely to use the additional landing and departure times around the holiday season to meet increased demand. Croatia Airlines sold five weekly slots at Heathrow Airport to Delta Air Lines in 2017 for 19.5 million US dollars, an average of 3.9 million dollars per slot. The sale enabled it to post a profit that year, the last time it managed to do so. The carrier has retained four weekly slot pairs at Heathrow since.
