Air Serbia operates Tel Aviv evacuation flight
NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia operated a special evacuation flight in cooperation with the Serbian government from Tel Aviv yesterday. The service was organised for all Serbian citizens who initially had tickets booked with other carriers to fly out of the country, and whose flights had since been cancelled. There are a notable number of Serbian citizens currently in Israel on pilgrimage tours, with one Serbian national injured in the ongoing attacks in the country. A total of 132 passengers took off from Tel Aviv Airport yesterday evening on Air Serbia’s special flight, minutes before rocket fire hit around the airport permitter. Air Serbia will continue to operate scheduled flights between Belgrade and Tel Aviv in the coming days. Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport continues to operate normally at this time, although a number of carriers have temporarily discontinued operations including American Airlines, Air France, Lufthansa and Emirates.
