Dubrovnik Airport was busier in October than its larger counterpart in Split as it handled 244.187 passengers. The figure represents an increase 12% on the same month last year. Overall, the airport registered 2.489.558 travellers through its doors by the end of October, up 10%. Dubrovnik's growth is expected to slow in the coming months as the airport kicks off the second phase of its runway overhaul this week, which will somewhat restrict traffic and capacity at the airport. Several airlines, including British Airways, Turkish Airlines and Vueling, have scheduled fewer flights this winter when compared to last.
