Eurowings upgrades Mostar flights
NEWS FLASH
Low cost carrier Eurowings will upgrade capacity on its seasonal flights from Germany to Mostar during the upcoming summer season. Despite Mostar Airport initially announcing the airline would discontinue services from Dusseldorf next summer while maintaining its Stuttgart flights, Eurowings has scheduled both routes for 2019. Services from the two German cities will run twice per week with the 144-seat Airbus A319 aircraft, a significant upgrade from the seventy-seat Bombardier Dash 8 turboprop used last summer. In December, Mostar Airport said, "Eurowings came to the decision to suspend Dusseldorf because the aircraft it uses on services to Mostar is more appropriate for shorter flights and it was not profitable for them to keep this route. Initially, plans were to upgrade the equipment, however, this did not materialise. On the other hand, they confirmed they are keeping flights from Stuttgart, so at least we will still be linked to Germany". However, flights from Dusseldorf to Mostar are now scheduled to run from May 5, while services from Stuttgart will resume on June 1. Both routes will be maintained until the end of the summer season, in late October.
