IrAero plans Banja Luka service

Russian carrier IrAero has applied for permits to introduce flights between Moscow and Banja Luka. The Irkutsk-based carrier is expected to launch operations between the two cities during the summer season. "They [IrAero] are awaiting to be issued a permit by the Russian Ministry for Transport. It is important for this route to be profitable and for it to have an average cabin load factor of 70%. We are preparing for these flights", Duško Pervoić, the Head of the Republika Srpska Representative Office in Russia, said. The General Manager of Banja Luka Airport, Zoran Injac, added, "What we can say is that there is interest from the Russian side. We will do everything we can on our behalf for this route to be successful". IrAero operates a fleet of twenty aircraft, including Boeing 777s, Sukhoi Superjet 100s, Bombardier CRJ200s and the Antonov An-24s. The airline primarily maintains domestic services but operates international flights to China, Mongolia and Uzbekistan.
