Wizz Air to discontinue Osijek service

Wizz Air will cancel its two weekly service between Osijek and Basel from June 14, just over two years after the route was introduced. The General Manager of Osijek Airport, Davor Forgić, said Wizz Air had given no official response as to why the service is being discontinued, although he believes the loads on the year-round route were unsatisfactory by the low cost airline's standards. The service had an 80% average cabin load factor last year, while Wizz Air aims for a 94% load factor. The route was operated by Wizz Air's Belgrade-based aircraft with Serbian cabin crew members. Osijek - Basel is the airline's sole service from the Croatian city.
