Air Serbia wet-leases Boeing 767

NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia has concluded a short-term wet-lease for a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft from Portugal’s EuroAtlatnic Airways. The jet will operate Air Serbia’s service from Belgrade to New York and back in the coming days. The Serbian carrier temporarily suspended flights between the two cities on September 24 until October 6 as its sole Airbus A330-200 had to undergo mandatory maintenance checks. “The technical check is performed every two years in line with industry standards and the airline was offered the option of two date periods. Air Serbia opted for the period when the aircraft was operating fewer flights with the least affected number of passengers”, the airline said. However, the A330-200, which is undergoing maintenance in Istanbul, will stay in a few days longer and will return by the end of next week.

The EuroAtlantic B767-300ER, which will operate on behalf of Air Serbia, is sixteen years old (CS-TSV) and features sixteen seats in business class and 246 in economy.
