Serbian regulator bans Swiss over Covid-19

The Serbian Civil Aviation Directorate has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) banning all carriers from coronavirus Covid-19 infected hotspots (Switzerland, Italy, Iran, South Korea and China) from operating flights to Serbia. The measure includes a ban on airlines from Switzerland, after two Serbian nationals tested positive to the virus after coming into contact with a person from Switzerland. Swiss International Air Lines maintains services from Zurich to Belgrade. Air Serbia has discontinued its flights to Switzerland’s largest city as well. The measure will also affect easyJet’s Basel - Belgrade service. Switzerland is one of Serbia’s biggest air markets, while Zurich is one of Belgrade’s busiest destinations.
