Poland to extend Balkan flight ban

The Polish government wants to extend its ban on international flights until August 25, 2020 for 45 countries, the government wrote in a draft decree on the extension. Markets on the list include Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia, among others. LOT Polish Airlines, which serves Skopje, Podgorica and Belgrade, now plans to resume operations to the Macedonian and Serbian capitals in September, while flights to Podgorica have been terminated until the start of the 2020/2021 winter season, in late October. The decision also affects Wizz Air's and Ryanair's operations from Poland to Podgorica.
