Mostar Airport faces dire outlook
NEWS FLASH
Mostar Airport has been hard hit by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, handling just 266 passengers since the reopening of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s airports in June. Overall, it welcomed just 1.050 travellers during the first three quarters, with no respite in sight. Croatia Airlines, which maintained services from Zagreb prior to the pandemic, has scheduled just three rotations for the 2020/2021 winter season - on December 18, December 21 and January 8. The winter season runs until late March. Low cost carrier Eurowings, which ran seasonal operations from Dusseldorf and Stuttgart, has terminated its operations to the airport and has not scheduled any flights for next summer either. Mostar Airport handled 32.866 passengers in 2019.
