Croatia Airlines' acting CEO to secure ninth term

Croatia Airlines’ acting CEO, Jasmin Bajić, is expected to be named as the company’s temporary head for a ninth consecutive time early next month. Mr Bajić has been at the helm of the company since November 2017, when he was selected for a “maximum period of six months” after which the government planned to issue a public call for the position. His term has been extended every six months since then. Although the state did organise a public call to select the national carrier’s new CEO in 2018, the process was shelved following criticism from trade unions that the process was being rigged and mishandled by the government after it removed prior experience in the aviation industry from the list of job requirements. Prior to taking over as acting CEO, Mr Bajić was the Director of Controlling and Internal Audit at the carrier,
