Ljubljana Airport reaches 21% of pre-pandemic traffic
NEWS FLASH
Ljubljana Airport handled 57.338 passengers in October, representing a decrease of 42.2% on the same month in 2019. It should be noted that in October 2019, Ljubljana Airport felt the full brunt of Adria Airways’ bankruptcy. Lufthansa operated the most flights out of Ljubljana last month, followed by Air Serbia and Air France. With 12.060 seats on sale, Lufthansa had the most capacity on offer from Slovenia’s capital, followed by Turkish Airlines (7.794) and Brussels Airlines (7.268). During the January - October period, Ljubljana Airport welcomed 331.012 travellers through its doors, representing a decrease of 78.6% on the same period during the pre-pandemic 2019. The Slovenian aviation market is still seeing one of the slowest recoveries in Europe from the height of the Covid-19 crisis last year, ahead of only Finland and Ireland.
