Croatia Airlines proud of Brussels livery inspiration

NEWS FLASH

Croatia Airlines has said it is proud if its livery served as the inspiration for its Star Alliance partner’s new colour scheme. Last month, Brussels Airlines unveiled its new brand identity, which bears an uncanny resemblance to that of Croatia Airlines. The dotted “b” which can currently be seen on the carrier’s logo and tailfins has been replaced with dots of different sizes, designed to represent the diversity of the airline’s customers, while the carrier’s signature colours now feature a deeper red and darker shade of blue. Brussels Airlines said that the new brand identity is “the visual token of the airline’s new chapter, stating its readiness for future challenges and re-emphasising on the importance of the Belgian brand”. For its part, Croatia Airlines said, “The design of our visual identity is recognisable both in Croatia and abroad and we are proud if it served as inspiration to other carriers with their own designs. It should be noted that in 2005 the company was the recipient of the international ReBrandTM award for our livery as judged by some of the world’s most respected experts in the field of design. In addition, in 2019 and 2020, the entire Croatia Airlines fleet was visually refreshed. The squares, as a recognisable symbol of Croatian national identity, was applied along the tail and the back of the fuselage while the size of the letters “CROATIA” has been increased”.
