Red Wings plans new Belgrade service

NEWS FLASH

Russia’s Red Wings Airlines plans to restore operations to Belgrade this coming summer season, pending government approval, after suspending flights to the Serbian capital in March 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The airline has currently scheduled a one weekly service between Rostov-on-Don and Belgrade starting May 5, however, its eight-hour long stay in Belgrade would indicate the airline plans to utilise the aircraft on another route before making the return journey back to Rostov. Prior to the pandemic, Red Wings maintained flights between Moscow and Belgrade. If the planned service materialises, the Russian carrier would compete directly against Air Serbia on the Rostov route. The Serbian airline plans to resume its seasonal operations to the Russian city on April 4. Further flight details for Red Wings’ planned Belgrade service can be found here.
