Zagreb Airport sees January recovery

NEWS FLASH

Zagreb Airport handled 140.176 passengers last month, representing a 31% decrease compared to the pre-pandemic January of 2020, and a 26.7% decline on 2019. The airport’s improved results are on the back of Ryanair, which in December launched a number of new routes from the Croatian capital. Despite the budget carrier temporarily suspending some services due to a rise in Covid infections across the continent, the airport registered 2.776 aircraft movements. During January, Croatia reached a high 90.3% of seat capacity on the same month in 2020.
