Air Serbia flight to Moscow forced to return after bomb threat
NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia flight JU652 from Belgrade to Moscow has been forced to return back to Nikola Tesla Airport shortly after departure due to an anonymous e-mail warning of a bomb on board. The Airbus A330-200 aircraft landed safely in the Serbian capital, with the jet currently being inspected. There were 209 passengers on board, all of which have been evacuated. Other flights are operating normally to and from Belgrade Airport. According to media reports, the e-mail message included the author's discontent with Serbia's relations with Russia. Air Serbia is one of the few European airlines able to operate into Russia amid the ongoing war in Ukraine as it has not imposed sanctions onto the country.
