Former Air Serbia CEO to head Portuguese carrier

Dane Kondić, the first CEO of the rebranded Serbian national carrier, today assumed the role of Chairman of Lisbon-based EuroAtlantic Airways. The carrier is specialised in charter operations and leasing. He takes over on behalf of the carrier’s new shareholder, the Luxembourg group Imperial Jet, led by German - Lebanese pilot and businessman Abed El-Jaouni. EuroAtlantic also owns 38% of STP Airways, the national airline of Sao Tome and Príncipe. In 2019, Air Serbia briefly wet-leased a EuroAtlantic Airways Boeing 767-300ER aircraft for its flights between Belgrade and New York while its sole Airbus A330-200 jet was undergoing scheduled maintenance. Mr Kondić headed the Serbian carrier from its rebranding in the summer of 2013 until January 1, 2018.
