Finnair touches down in Zagreb

Finland’s national carrier inaugurated a new seasonal three weekly service between Helsinki and Zagreb last evening with its 144-seat Airbus A319 aircraft. The flights will be maintained until September 29. According to reports, there were some fifty passengers on board the inaugural service from the Finnish capital. The welcome ceremony was attended by Finland’s Ambassador to Croatia. Finnair faces no competition on the route. Croatia Airlines launched seasonal summer flights between the two cities in 2017, however, the service was suspended at the start of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and has not been restored since.
