Qatar Airways marks Zagreb milestone

NEWS FLASH

Qatar Airways celebrated a decade of operations between Doha and Zagreb this week. Its Monday flight to the Croatian capital was met with a water cannon salute and a small ceremony where Qatar Airways officials underlined the importance of the service, which has handled almost 800.000 passengers over the past ten years. The route’s busiest year remains 2019, when Qatar Airways handled 148.073 passengers between the two cities by maintaining two daily flights. That year it offered a record 204.784 seats on the market. It registered an average annual cabin load factor of 71.8%. The majority of its flights, almost 90%, were operated by the two-class Airbus A320 aircraft, while Bangkok was the most popular destination for transfer passengers followed by Sydney, Tokyo and Melbourne. The Qatari carrier currently runs five weekly services between the two cities with its A320.
