Former Croatia Airlines CEO tipped to head Air Mauritius

NEWS FLASH

The former CEO of Croatia Airlines and Gulf Air, Krešimir Kučko, is expected to be selected as the new CEO of Air Mauritius, local media report. Although a formal decision is still pending, Mr Kučko is believed to be the frontrunner to take up the post from December 1. The African carrier has been without a CEO since March 2020 and is seeking a new management to turn its fortunes around. Air Mauritius boasts a fleet of nine aircraft, including four Airbus A350-900s, two A330-900s and three ATR72-500s. Mr Kučko previously led Croatia Airlines from 2012 until 2017. He took over as head of Gulf Air that same year, which he led until 2021. Mr Kučko was shortlisted as the new CEO of Air Montenegro earlier this year, however, ultimately, the government did not move ahead with the selection process.
