NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia welcomed 234.000 passengers on its flights in December 2022, representing an increase of 127% year-on-year, and 20% more compared to December 2019. The national airline carried over 200.000 passengers in December for the first time since it rebranded in 2013. It operated 2.761 flights, of which 96% were from Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, representing an increase of 1.100 flights, up 71% on last year. “The good results that we achieved during the summer season have continued into the winter. During each of the six months from July to December 2022, we broke our record in the number of passengers carried, and we are very proud of that. In December 2022, an additional 131.000 passengers flew with Air Serbia compared to the same month in 2021, and 39.000 more compared to 2019. We will share accurate information about the total number of passengers carried in 2022 in the coming weeks, but preliminary results show that Air Serbia handled approximately 2.75 million passengers in 2022, which is only 2% less compared to 2019”, the company’s General Manager for Commercial and Strategy, Boško Rupić, said.
