Ljubljana Airport closes in on millionth passenger

NEWS FLASH

Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport handled its 900.000th passenger of the year last Thursday and is now on course to welcome its millionth traveller in a single year for the first time since 2019. Last year, Ljubljana Airport handled 970.152 passengers. The airport anticipates welcoming a total of 1.2 million customers in 2023, some 30% below its pre-pandemic 2019 levels, and down 34% on 2018, which was its busiest on record. Until the end of the year, a new service between Skopje and the Slovenian capital will be launched by Wizz Air, while Turkish Airlines will deploy its wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft on select Ljubljana flights in late October.
