Wamos Air brings cruise ship evacuees to Belgrade

Some of the passengers on board the Grand Princess cruise ship which had been kept offshore Oakland as a precaution to prevent the spread of the coronavirus Covid-19 have been evacuated from San Francisco on a special nonstop Wamos Air flight to Belgrade. The Boeing 747-400 landed in the Serbian capital yesterday with 310 passengers on board. Among the cruise ship voyagers and crew were Serbian nationals as well. Passengers from other European countries have since been transferred either on special or scheduled flights from Belgrade. Wamos Air continued its journey to Madrid, while Spanish airline Flightline organised special flights from Belgrade to Lisbon and Chalons Sur Marnein in France to repatriate passengers.
