Croatia launches charter flight tender for five passengers

NEWS FLASH

The Croatian Interior Ministry has launched tender procedures for a charter flight between Zagreb and Cairo in order to repatriate five Egyptian nationals who entered the country illegally. The Ministry noted the tender, valued at almost 40.000 euros, is necessary as the coronavirus pandemic has significantly reduced the number of flights and connections available to Egypt. It added the charter service would be covered by European Union funds made available to Croatia. Under the tender conditions, the Zagreb - Cairo - Zagreb service must be run by February 20 and the aircraft operating the route must have two lavatories.
