Adria Tehnika inks four-year deal with Wizz Air

Maintenance company Adria Tehnika, a member of the Avia Prime Group, has signed a new long-term contract with low cost carrier Wizz Air. The Ljubljana-based maintenance provider was selected along with several other MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) companies to service the airline’s Airbus fleet. Adria Tehnika will begin working on Wizz Air’s aircraft in autumn of 2022 for a four-year period, with a possibility to extend the agreement for an additional year. Julia Brix, the Head of Technical Services at Wizz Air, said, "As the fastest growing low cost airline in Europe, Wizz Air relies only on the best providers for different services. For our aircraft, optimal technical support is crucial. We are pleased that Adria Tehnika will be one of our reliable partners in the future". Adria Tehnika’s CEO, Barbara Perko Brvar, noted, "We are extremely proud that we have managed to enrich our collaboration with Wizz Air through long-term cooperation, which is certainly a testament to our mutual trust. Given the fact that Wizz Air's fleet is comprised of Airbus aircraft, and that Adria Tehnika is an experienced specialist in this aircraft family, since it is familiar with the types of aircraft and the necessary modifications, the decision on collaboration came naturally. I am convinced that this collaboration will contribute to our mutual growth". The company recently signed a five-year maintenance agreement with easyJet as well.
