Montenegro Airlines might resume Belgrade flights
NEWS FLASH
Montenegro Airlines may be able to restore a limited number of flights for a limited time. The Montenegrin government will decide within the next two to three weeks if and how Montenegro Airlines could resume operations to its main market - Belgrade - until the country’s new flag carrier is launched within the next six to nine months. The indebted Montenegro Airlines suspended operations on December 25, 2020 and has been grounded ever since. Demand for travel between the two countries is expected to pick up in the coming weeks after both abolished PCR testing requirements for the entry of each others' nationals. Air Serbia has terminated its wide-ranging codeshare partnership with the Montenegrin carrier. In January 2020, Montenegro Airlines operated 215 flights to Belgrade (both ways included) and offered 24.702 seats between the two countries.
