Ryanair to launch new Zagreb service

NEWS FLASH

Low cost carrier Ryanair will introduce a new service between its base in Zagreb and Brindisi on the Adriatic coast in southeaster Italy. Flights will operate twice per week, each Wednesday and Sunday, starting March 27. It will become the carrier’s third destination from Zagreb to Italy, complementing Rome Fiumicino, Bergamo and Naples. The service comes as a replacement to the airline’s planned flights between the Croatian capital and Lviv, which have been cancelled as a result of the war in Ukraine. The same slots and days are being used for the Brindisi flights. As previously reported, Ryanair is also introducing new services from Zagreb to Bratislava and Corfu this summer season. Last week, the Director of Operations of Ryanair’s subsidiary Lauda Europe, Tadej Notersberg, told EX-YU Aviation news, “There are some tourist destinations from Zagreb that can be served in the future and that are of interest to us too. We really believe that Zagreb can be attractive all-year round, not just for families and the diaspora, but for tourists as well, so we want to use all these opportunities in the future”. Further flight details can be found here.
